Welcome to the new Mimochai world! It's been a long time in the making.
Our Current Times
We set out to create a magical place to brighten your days and soothe your spirits. We could not have predicted that we would start this new chapter at a very challenging time on Earth—a global pandemic!
There is so much uncertainty. It's hard not to be weighed down by the stress and negativity in the news. We considered whether it was still appropriate to start up again at time of such severe gravity. Would it feel insensitive?
But we realized if our intention was truly to share stories and pictures that help make people feel better, this would be the wrong time to pause. As difficult as these times are, the one thing making it better is knowing we are in it together. It's not time to back down. It's time to lift up as best we can.
So that's what we're going to do!
A Tour Around the Teahouse
We're very happy to share what's new with you. We restarted our Instagram @mimochai to share new illustrated stories and little moments. This website is also designed to be actually from the Mimochai world, with plenty of room to explore and escape.
We've created a whole map with areas reflecting each category of content:
- Teahouse: Our central hub! Our Teahouse Bulletin (aka this blog) and our Teahouse Treats (aka free downloads) live here. You can also learn more about becoming a Teahouse Patron to access special behind-the-scenes content.
- Studio: In addition to the posts for Instagram, we are busy making more stories for you! Visit the studio to see the highlights.
- Giftshop: We love sending packages from our world to yours. Our books, pins and gift sets are available here. We've been focused on creating the posts and website but will soon turn our attention to new items.
We'll keep growing the world as we go along. Stay tuned!
A Welcome Gift
