Teahouse Welcome Kit

April 01, 2020 1 min read

Our Teahouse Welcome Kit is a simple DIY activity that you can download for free and print at home! It's our way of welcoming you to our new world. Here are some additional tips to get the most out of this activity.

Here's a quick look at what's included, and some quick tips:

1. Teahouse Member Card

Make your own Teahouse Member Card! Instead of attaching a photo, try a simple sketch. For those who have never drawn a portrait, you'll be surprised that the eyes start at the middle of the face, not the top!

2. Pocket Guide Zine

I love zines and booklets and think it's fun that you can make a simple one from one sheet of normal paper! Here are the instructions and a Mimochai Pocket Guide to use as for practice. Once you get the hang of it, you can create your own using ours as a template!

3. Mimochai Map

We've created a map of our world that places our Teahouse, Studio, Giftshop and more. Making a map is a fun exercise in design and creativity. Why not try making a fun map of your house? You can rename all the spaces to be something fun, e.g. the living room can be HOT LAVA DUNES. Take it to the next level by adding some fantasy elements such as a mystic fog that surrounds the house, or a magic portal in the closet!

We created a black and white line version for those of you who do not have a color printer. You can also use this version as a coloring booklet :)

Enjoy x
