The Year of the Ox is the second animal sign in the Chinese zodiac, and is celebrated by many cultures around the world as a symbol of diligence and wisdom. People born in the year of the Ox are said to possess a wide range of positive traits, including being hardworking, honest, and reliable. They are also known for their ability to overcome obstacles and persevere through difficult times.

According to legend, the order of the animals in the Chinese zodiac was determined by a race. The ox was in the lead for most of the race, but was ultimately beaten by the rat, who rode on the ox's back to cross the finish line first. This is why the rat is the first animal in the zodiac, followed by the ox.
