We're so honored to have our artwork become part of your home. We sometimes receive questions about the best way to hang prints from our shop, so we put together this simple guide.
Unframed Prints
1. Velcro Hanging Strips: For lightweight prints, we often use velcro-style Command Strips. They hold well and can be removed cleanly without damaging the wall.
This is a great option for renters, or if you enjoy rearranging your space from time to time. I use these often in my own studio when testing new layouts.
A small piece on each corner of the print is usually enough.
2. Magnetic Wood Hangers: Another favorite option is a simple magnetic wooden hanger. These use small magnets to gently hold the print between two pieces of wood at the top and bottom.

They’re lightweight, minimal, and very easy to swap out when you want to rotate artwork. The natural wood tone pairs nicely with most artwork and interiors.
Framed Prints
1. Velcro Strips: These are still strong enough for the smaller framed prints. Attach the strips to the back four corners of the frame and press it onto the wall.
2. Simple Nails or Picture Hooks: A small nail or picture hook is the most secure option for larger framed prints. Our framed prints include hanging hardware on the back, so installation is typically quick and straightforward (see sample photo below). Picture hooks can also help distribute weight more evenly if the frame is larger.

Unframed Canvases
1. Velcro Strips: Because unframed canvases are light, velcro strips can again be a convenient option. Place strips along the back edges of the canvas frame and press firmly to the wall.
2. Simple Nails: You can also hang the canvas directly from small nails using the wooden stretcher bar on the back. Note there is no additional hanging hardware on the back of the canvases, which should not be an issue. We recommend using 2-3 to distribute the weight and prevent shifting. You can also add museum putty to the bottom corners for extra stability.
Framed Canvases
Our framed canvas prints do not include hanging hardware on the back, which is typical for this style of frame. The frame is designed so that it can rest directly on a nail or hanger. For these, we do not recommend the velcro strips because they are heavier.
1. Simple Nails: You can place two nails in the wall, measured to be towards the corners of your canvas. Rest the top inner edge of the frame on them. The frame will naturally sit flush against the wall. Be sure to confirm that the products you are using are appropriate for the wall material (e.g., drywall anchors for drywall). We recommend using 2-3 to distribute the weight and prevent shifting. For extra stability, you can also use museum putty to attach the bottom corners of the canvas to the wall.
2. 3M Canvas Hanger: 3M also makes adhesive canvas hangers designed specifically for stretched or framed canvases. These attach to the wall without nails and include a small support piece that the frame rests on. They’re a great option if you have up to an 18x24" framed canvas and prefer to avoid putting holes in the wall.
3. 3M Claw Hook + Wire/Sawtooth Hanger. For our largest sized framed canvas, you can also use these claw hooks that are suitable for drywall. However, because this option requires you attach your own sawtooth or wire to the back of the canvas, we only recommend this option if you don't want to use the nails method.

A Small Tip
When possible, we recommend hanging artwork so the center of the piece sits roughly 57–60 inches from the floor, which tends to feel natural at eye level in a room.
If you're hanging multiple pieces together, laying them out on the floor first can help you find a layout that you like before committing to the wall.
