Hello! We’re looking for an awesome management ninja to help our little illustration studio grow. The Studio Assistant Manager will work within the team to coordinate a range of activities as well as managing the details to multiple company projects. You will work directly with the Director and Studio Manager to provide support in the creation, research, and implementation of product development, social media, and special events. Our ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, someone that is passionate about being organized and has a deep love for all things design.
Position: Studio Assistant Manager
Reports to: Director and Studio Manager
Hours: Part-time, approx. 10-20 hours per week, with possibility to grow into full-time position
Salary: Hourly, to be negotiated, with room to grow
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA + Remote (must be able to commute to DTLA 1-2x per week)
Start Date: Flexible, as early as Nov 6, 2017
Prioritizes and manages the day to day project details
Responsible for scheduling, vendor/client/customer relations, and email inquiries
Handles the social media calendar and posts which includes photography, design, and lifestyle content
Prepares research materials and reporting for ongoing projects
Uploads blog posts
Responsible for various daily office activities: record meeting notes, run misc errands, crafting
Assists on site for special mimochai events + booths
Provides creative input and feedback in the growth of the company
Minimum Skills and Requirements
Have basic proficiency and knowledge with main Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Premiere Pro*
Basic video and photo editing skills*
Familiarity with any website building backend such as Squarespace and Shopify*
A keen eye for design and style
Effective and strong communication skills in both verbal and written form
Self starter with high level of initiative and exceptional work ethic
Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
Upbeat and positive personality
Ability to learn quickly and independently (with provided guidance)
Knowledge of YouTube, online content, and social media platforms
Desire to take ownership of special projects
Can work remotely
* Technical skills are a huge plus, and if you not only meet our soft skill requirements but also have some Photoshop and CMS skills in your arsenal, we welcome any such unicorns to apply! However, we want to be clear we prioritize the interpersonal skills above simply being a good designer or editor. We are happy to teach and train you in all technical aspects of what you need to do your job well.
